Weird Dating Trends to Watch out for in 2019

The language of love can be hard to understand.

If you’re looking to start the new year in a new relationship, make sure you know how the game has changed.

Here are a few weird dating trends to watch out for in 2019.

Take it from relationship experts the New York Post, Yahoo and INSIDER spoke with.

1. Cookie jarring – when you treat someone as a back-up option while you continue to date other people in the metaphorical cookie jar.

These daters don’t know what they want.

2. You-turning – when you fall hard for someone only to discover a major deal breaker, so you end quickly end things.

3. Orbiting – when a former lover continues to ‘like’ your posts on social media.

This makes them harder to get over because they’re not quite gone.

4. Pocketing – when you’re being kept away from the public eye.

If it’s been a few months and you aren’t being introduced to family and friends, you’ve been pocketed.

At least you won’t be hundreds of dollars out of pocket once you break it off.
